How to replace a lost, Filled up or Defaced  Log Book in Kenya.

To replace a lost motor vehicle log book in Kenya, you need the following documents:
Application for XI (Available here)
Copy of ID/Certificate of incorporation/ Business Registration Certificate
A fee of Ksh. 500 for filled up  and Kshs.2,500 for defaced or lost Logbook
A police abstract in case of lost logbooks (available here)
 
Submit these to the nearest KRA office (See a list of all KRA offices countrywide here)

How to replace lost or old (defaced) driving license in Kenya

To replace a lost Kenyan driving licence, you will need the following documents:
Application form XI (available here)
Police abstract and Kshs. 20 receipt (Police abstract available here)
Two passport size photos of the applicant (35mm br 45mm, showing head shoulder and full face without hat)
Photocopy of the ID
Payable fees of Ksh. 875
Present all the above to a Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) office near you. (See a list of KRA offices countrywide here)

Visit http://www.kra.go.ke/landrent/landrent.php to check Land registration numbers to see if they are valid (i.e. in current use) & check outstanding Land Rent amounts.
Land Rent owner who have NEVER paid any land rent since allocation of land can now check their outstanding land rent amount as at 1st August 2007 using the LR NO. as indicated in the title deed.

At this point we are assuming you have registered (see earlier post) and having provided a valid email address. An email will be sent to your in-box confirming the registration and log in details enclosed. These will include:

the PIN (to be used as the user name)
the password (usually a one-off password, you’ll be required to change immediately you log in)
the security (seal) stamp (alphabets and numerals in an attached picture file)

Requirements for Taxpayer Registration

Resident Individuals : National Identification Number
Non – Resident Individuals: Alien Registration Number
Companies and Partnerships: Certificate of Registration Number

Now go to: https://mapato1.kra.go.ke/itms/
Go to the New Taxpayer link and start the process.
Upon successful completion of the form with the correct Taxpayer Registration details, the system will allocate the ‘PIN’, ‘Password’ and ‘Security Stamp’. These will be sent to you through the e-mail address you have provided above.

PIN – Taxpayer Personal Identification Number
Password – your secret access number to use the system
