ERC Energy Regulatory Commission; How to check maximum fuel priced via on your phone via SMS

The Commission also launched a Short Message Service (SMS) based inquiry system for petroleum prices.
Members of the public can now obtain the latest prices in major towns by sending a text message with the word
‘price’ followed by the name of a major town, separated by a space, to 0707667623. e.g

You will receive a messagee e.g
RWEA4S2ANV ERC Confirmed. The maximum pump prices for Nairobi for the period between 15/05/2013 and 14/06/2013 are: Kerosene 79.46,Diesel 101.06,Regular 105.76,Super 113.24

KNEC; KCSE 2012 Results; How to get your KCSE 2012 results online and via SMS

The KSCE 2012 results are out on 1st March 2013. KNEC shall release the results soon after the minister’s speech.
To get your results online, we expect that similar to last year, candidates shall log on to http://www.knec-results.ac.ke/ and key in their index number.
The SMS number used to get  KCSE 2011 result was 5052. We expect this to remain as is.
The Timpata, as we have always done, shall keep you updated on any new developments in the release of KCSE 2012 results and we wish all candidates the best of luck.

IEBC Elections 2013; How to confirm Online and by SMS if you are a registered voter; confirm your polling station

Send an SMS with your ID card or passport number to 15872 for a confirmation or visit the IEBC website http://vote.iebc.or.ke and key in the same.
Your name, county, constituency, ward and station in which you are registered will be displayed.

KCPE 2012 Results; How to check KCPE 2012 results online and via SMS

KCPE 2012 results were released on 28th January 2013.
To check your KCPE 2012 results online go to http://www.knec.ac.ke
Alternatively, download list of top performing candidates and schools here
To check via SMS, send an SMS with the candidate’s index number to 5052. You are advised to send the sms once and wait. Avoid resending the sms as this will contribute to jamming the system.
On receiving your results, confirm
Your name, Index number and gender
Your school name and code.
Subject codes and mean grade.

How to activate your M-shwari account; How to transfer money from MPesa to Mshwari

M-Shwari allows you to own and operate a savings account on your phone. The savings account is available to all M-PESA users who activate MShwari accountt on their phone.
HOW TO ACTIVATE M-Shwari:

On M-PESA menu select ‘My Account’
Select ‘Update Menu’
Wait for the menu to update
Go back to M-PESA menu
Select M-Shwari Read and accept the terms and conditions.
You will then receive an SMS confirming your activation.

HOW TO DEPOSIT MONEY FROM M-PESA TO MSHWARI:
