Finally, KCSE 2010 candidates can now check the courses they have been admitted to and in which University here:

Enter your the first 6 digits  of your Index number under ‘Center Number’ and the last 3 digits of your index number under ‘Index Number’

    Thank you for releasing the courses thou late but a good time. I have three queries to ask , please help me in solving them appropriately.
    1. Can a student go and pick his/her admission form at the relevant University he has been selected to?
    2. How do you apply for the HELB loan and are you capable of applying with a waiting card?
    3. Can a student learning under the J.A.B make an inter-university swap i.e maybe you move from pwani university B.Com to the University of Nairobi to undertake B.Com ?

      @Martin Mweni: You can go pick you admission letter from the University’s main campus. However, make sure the admission letters are ready before you plan to travel (a phone call would do). It is difficult to apply for HELB loan without your ID. However, you could try this : http://www.thetimpata.com/2011/05/26/how-to-transact-e-g-apply-for-h-e-l-b-loan-using-your-waiting-card/

      A student can do an interfaculty transfer (transfer from one course to another within the same University) or an inter-University transfer. The latter has less chances of success though. Both depend on whether you meet the minimum cut-off points required for that course or University, as the case may be, as well as whether there is an opening in the faculty or University you want to move to. Both transfers happen within the first few weeks after admission.

    Can one use her JAB fees to pay for parallel?

      @ Jossy: you can apply for loan as a parallel(module II) student. However, if you were admitted on the regular program and were granted loan based on your regular program registration number, then some portion of your loan will be sent straight to your regular program registration number, meaning you will be losing out!

    Please help, when are first year students (of KCSE 2010) of Education Science, Moi university reporting? I don’t have any information regarding that ever since i was communicated by JAB that i secured a course of Education Science at MU..

    Now that those joining uon have received preliminary admission letters, we should wait till may for the admission no.s or what are we to do. We are told to book rooms btn 15 n 3o may, yet we have not received the registration no we are to use.

    Hey,when will jab release the KCSE 2011 University admission coz tym is running and we ought to get ourselves ready.Must one apply for helb loan when they get their admission letters or you can do it before if you are sure you wil go to the university.

      @Mary Kinyua, Kindly be a little patient. You will need you University registration number to apply for HELB. As at now, the University selection for KCSE 2011 candidates is still in progress as at today (16th July 2012).

    thanks for the answers given to @Mary Kinyua on the University selection for KCSE 2011 candidate still being in progress but when will this candidates realy joint the university? some open earlier as August and September but their admission letter are not ready,how will their parent/guardians get prepared for their joining requirement?

      @Langat, Indeed there seems to the admission process for Universities is currently a bit disorganized since different Universities have different reporting dates. However for KCSE 2011 candidates, the selection to public Universities by JAB is still in progress as at today 23rd July 2012.

    am a jab student admitted at bondo university college.i did my k.c.s.e in 2010 ,i applied for HELB but they refused to disburse my loan claimimg that my index number is not on the list of the jab students they were given please help-(my index number is 603208006)
