EABL Foundation scholarships for year 2011

EABL foundation is offering scholarships to bright but needy students across East Africa in the following degree courses:

  • Bachelor of Commerce at Strathmore University  (4-year course) – 3 scholarships
  • Bachelor of Business information Technology at Strathmore University (4-year course) – 3 scholarships
  • Bachelor of Engineering at any Kenyan Public University (5-year course) – 2 scholarships
  • Bachelor of food Science at any Kenyan Public University (4-year course) – 2 scholarships

Who can apply:

Selection for the EABL scholarships will be made on the basis of outstanding  academic results and extreme financial need.

It is open to all Kenyan students who sat their KCSE in 2009 (for Public Universities) and 2010 (Strathmore University) and attained a minimum overall grade of A- in their KCSE results with at least a minimum of B grade in Mathematics and English.

What you need to apply:

Students wishing to apply for the EABL scholarship will need to submit the following:

  • Copy of calling letters (for those called to Public Universities)
  • Copy of KCSE results
  • Copy of School Leaving Certificate
  • Completed Application Form (Available on the Daily Nation (1st June 2011) page 16 ) also to be available soon on the EABL foundation website: see here
  • Application to be accompanied by documentation showing financial neediness.

NOTE:Applications close on 14th June 2011 for those applying to Strathmore University and 22nd July 2011 for those called to Public Universities.
