Do I get charged any extra costs while using this service?

You will not be charged any additional costs such as browsing charges for accessing DStv Mobile once you have bought either the daily or weekly package.

What is the fair usage policy?

The fair use policy applies as follows:

• 1 day subscription: Disconnection is after 3hrs
• 1 week subscription: Disconnection is after 21hrs.

Please note if you are connected for more than 2 hours, the service will disconnect automatically and you will be requiredto reconnect so as to continue viewing your favorite channel.

Do I need to register to access the DStv MOBILE channels?

Yes, only once.

How do I access the DStv MOBILE channels?

• Dial *544# and select DSTV Mobile. You will receive an SMS with an internet link. Click this link to open DSTV mobile on your mobile phone.
• To view the full list of DStv MOBILE channels, select “All Channels” in the DStv MOBILE CHANNELS section
• All channels will be displayed together with programme information showing “Now” and the upcoming show
• Click on “NOW” of the channel programme of your choice and the requested programme will start streaming (only if subscribed to the service)
• By clicking on “Videos” in the “Browse” section at the bottom of the page the available videos will be displayed.

Can I access the free trial more than once?

The free trial is only available once after which you have to subscribe to either the 1 day package or 1 week package.

Would I be able to choose which channels I would like to subscribe to?

The DStv MOBILE TV package, gives you access to a single bouquet of 16 TV channels and a selection of video clips.

Are the DStv MOBILE TV channels exactly the same as those available on DStv currently?

Certain channels are regular as you would view them on the DStv satellite service. Other channels contain programming that has been redesigned for mobile viewing.

Are there any additional costs involved for the video clips?

Subscription to the DStv MOBILE TV package is inclusive of access to the selection of video clips. Data charges are subject to our “fair usage policy”

Is it possible to only subscribe to the video clips?

Subscription to the DStv MOBILE TV package is inclusive of TV channels and access to the selection of video clips.

Is the DStv MOBILE service available to all customers?

The service is available to all Safaricom PrePay and PostPay customers with 3G compatible Mobile phones across the country and in locations where there is Safaricom’s 3G coverage.

Does the service work using the opera mini browser?

The streaming service only works with the default internet browsers for the specific handsets.
